Deb Roach is 3 times international pole champion in the disabled division. Nicknamed Debzillah for her unstoppable nature, Deb Roach began her quest for embodiment in 2004. She had a negative relationship with her disabled body and started therapy to initiate the process of healing. Yoga played a big role in Deb finding self acceptance, and pole is her means of self expression. Deb took up pole in 2008. She fell in love with discovering what her body was capable of and left a career in IT to become a personal trainer and group fitness instructor that very same year. She came to the pole world’s attention when she took her first IPC title in Hong Kong in 2012. Deb moved to the UK in 2014 where she instructed at The London Academy of Pole Dancing. She also toured with UK Circus Company “Extraordinary Bodies” throughout 2015 and 2016. In January 2017, Deb returned to Sydney Australia and started teaching at World of Pole Blacktown, which she now owns. Deb loves movement in all of its forms, with a particular focus on breath centering. From sport and fitness to exotic, sensual movement, Deb believes in blending artistry with athleticism and that both embodiment and empowerment are available to EVERY body.
