Discussing the concept of violence, particularly in a martial arts context, brings about discomfort. Just like the soldiers trained to shoot yet often miss, we carry the weight of our actions and intentions. The notion that ‘we’re not built to hurt people’ resonates deeply as we examine our instincts. The risk of emotional harm can sometimes seem just as palpable as physical conflict. Setting boundaries helps create space between us and harmful situations, allowing for healthier dynamics.

Engaging in practices that enhance awareness, like martial arts or mindfulness activities, prepares us to navigate life’s challenges with grace.

Cultivating inner strength is important, and acknowledging our battles, whether emotional or physical, allows us to grow. Reflect on the female warriors of history and present. From ancient figures like Athena to modern-day women overcoming adversities, strength manifests in diverse forms. This strength is built on resilience, the ability to rise after falling, and the courage to stand firm against life’s challenges.


We are all warriors. By embracing our inner warriors, we cultivate the wisdom to set boundaries and maintain our well-being. The journey towards awareness and self-assertion welcomes both challenge and triumph, slowly shaping us into stronger versions of ourselves.
